What If Windows 10 Is Stealing Your Bandwidth?

Windows 10

Microsoft is stealing your Internet Service Providers (ISP) bandwidth!

Uh what?

Windows 10’s New Feature Steals Your Internet Bandwidth. It’s a devious little feature called Windows Update Delivery Optimization. It’s enabled by default.

If you’re running Windows 10, you may want to terminate this travesty.
The settings you need are buried down in:
START->Settings->Update & Security->Windows Update->Advanced options, under: Choose how updates are delivered.

  1. The instructions on how to disable are nice, but you haven’t actually explained how Win 10 is “stealing your internet bandwidth”. We really need more tham a sensational headline and an “omg, this is awful – run and do this right now!” To be informed.
